Our Hope is a new church plant in the Minneapolis MN area.
Pastor Gus Lopez lived on the streets in Arizona. He lived the
gangster life. But after moving to North Dakota, he was invited to church. He was loved and accepted there, and soon he surrendered his life to Christ. He became a new man, with a new mission, to see people connect with Jesus like he did. He knew Jesus could deliver people out of bondage and set them free.
Gus attended bible college, and is now an ordained elder. Two years ago he moved to North Minneapolis to bring Jesus to the streets of this urban Minneapolis neighborhood. He not only has started a new church, but is sharing good deeds and sharing the good news of Jesus. Feeding the homeless and marginalized, clothing them, providing transportation, and household goods.
Pastor Gus is living out what Jesus said in the bible, “For I was
hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:35-36)
The needs are great in North Minneapolis, and we appreciate the
financial help gifts, which can be given on the link on this page.
